Daiwa Saltist 6500H
The new Saltist spinning reels are designed for serious saltwater fishing, and that means simple, straight forward mechanisms that can withstand the punishment and still work flawlessly, time after time.
The Saltist overhead reels built up an amazing reputation over the past few years as one of the strongest most reliable overheads available. In 2009 the long awaited spinning reel version is released. Rigorously tested across Japan, USA and Australia these reels are built to handle ultra-strong braided lines, so these reels need to have an amazingly powerful waterproof drag system. With this much power these reels need to be strong, so to eliminate body flex the frame and side plate is constructed of rigid aluminum alloys which supports Daiwa's famous Digigear drive system. The Digigear system provides up to 15% more cranking power than conventional gears and is perfectly meshed to eliminate wear and tear, this is supported by Daiwa's exclusive CRBB bearings, thus making it incredibly smooth to wind and virtually corrosion free. The Saltist spinning reels build on the solid reputation of their overhead cousins, they are destined to become one of Daiwa's legendary reels.
