Combining the latest graphite’s and specialized composites, Daiwa has produced the perfect blank for use on the Catalina rods. Renowned worldwide and envied by many is Daiwa’s unique “Bias Wrap Construction” blank technology. This design uses diagonal construction creating an ultra strong, fine diameter blank that resists twisting under extreme pressure for less stress, better casting accuracy and greater hook setting power. The inner construction of the blank uses the latest materials to enhance this design and Daiwa’s unique blend of “SSG” (super multi strand graphite) and composites. Using the simple principle of “more muscle and less fat” and combining improved resin compositions and specially designed carbon sheeting to produce the ultimate power blank. Built for optimal performance the Catalina rods use Fuji’s premium chrome Silicone Carbide New Concept guides and the latest MNST style tip guides that eliminate line wrap. Being so light these guides really accentuate the blanks characteristics delivering crisp responsive performance, ultimate power and allows for effective line heat dissipation. Finished with matching colour cosmetics to the reels, these rods are finished off with an ultra tough paint and resin coating to eliminate knocks and scratches, custom alloy components and triple wrap binding. All the models feature heavy duty Fuji reel seats with locking rings, custom butt design and large ultra tuff EVA grips for extra grip.
